- of getting a sum 10, of the numbers on the two dice

Total number of outcomes = 62 = 36
(i) Doublets are {1,1}, {2,2}, {3,3}, {4,4}, {5,5}, {6,6}
Total number of doublets = 6
Probability of getting doublet = 6/36 or 1/6
(ii) Favourable outcomes are {6,4}, {4,6}, {5,5} i.e. 3
Probability of getting sum as 10 = 3/36 or 1/12
